@Taima Well, I can imagine that. I only use the SSD for OS and programs and have three additional hdds for data, but since you are using a notebook your options are of course limited.
@MrY89 haha thanks. I’m kinda pissed about how poorly I’m managing the low drive capacity. I’m used to the 1.5TB I have on my desktop. I’m constantly under 5GB free….considering returning it to get a bigger drive or something.
@Taima You have to remove the space before the top level domain AND rewrite the „.png“. There seems to be an invisible unicode character between the „p“ and „ng“.

@clamo636 Maximum data bandwidth Ultra ATA/133 is 133 MB/s, maximum bandwidth of SATA II is 300 MB/s. Compare that to your values of 12,5MB/s and 812,5MB/s. I tested the IDE hdd just to be sure: Its burst rate is BELOW 133MB/s, at 74,8MB/s to be exact.
Bottom line: Both drives are not limited by their interface. The comparison stands.
ok man you are not gona get a good comparison of a ide hdd vs a sata! sdd.
you got a ide hdd at 100 Mbit burst speed max (even if its 133) vs a sdd on an sata thats capable of going 6.5 giga bit’s. ya the ssd is gona cream that ide hdd with no problems. even if you got a performance ide controller on that motherboard.
@TehMphPwnzor Actually it makes no significant difference because the interface bandwidth of Ultra ATA/133 is above the sustained bandwidth of the hdd. 🙂
I know usually hard drives are slower than ssd’s by a long shot but you just increased that time because of the IDE cable you use on the hard drive haha
Viel Spass damit !
What kind of HDD are you using? That thing is slow as a mofo. >.>
The most dramatic speed test ever.
Awesome music!

@Taima Nice Video!
@MrY89 My new wallpaper lol. Thx.
Btw, I put up a video of startup/shutdown on my channel with my Vertex 2 the I recently bought.

@Taima Well I cannot remember, but I uploaded it for someone who asked for it.
